Fraud Text Alert – Do Not Respond

Please be advised of a current phishing scam whereby unknown individuals are texting members and non-members with a message that their card access is limited due to fraud. The message is directing members to call a number and provide their card information.

These calls and messages are phishing attempts and are designed to trick you into entering sensitive personal information such as account numbers, Social Security numbers, credit card numbers and your PIN in order to commit fraud or identity theft.

Members 1st of NJ FCU will never contact you by text, email or phone to ask for your personal information.

Please do not respond to these messages.

If you have not responded to these messages, no action is necessary. If you did respond and gave out any personal information, contact us immediately. During office hours, please call the credit union at 856-696-0767. After hours, please call 1-800-890-5097 or 1-800-872-1712 to have your card blocked immediately.

If you believe you have been a victim of an internet crime or scam, such as phishing, please visit the Internet Crime Complaint Center at https://www.ic3.gov/. You can also find information on phishing scams, including how to report a suspected phishing attempt, at the Department of Justice’s website at http://www.usdoj.gov.

If you are a Verizon, Sprint or AT&T subscriber and you receive a fraudulent text or call, please send a text to 7726 to report the number that the text or call came from.
