Helping Those Who Serve Our Communities

Member 1st of NJ FCU will award up to twenty-five (25) $100 Back-to-School Mini Grants to deserving K-12 educators who submit creative and innovative ideas for classroom projects that will enrich students’ minds and help our local community.  If you have a great idea for a classroom project and would like a little help, simply fill out the form below.


  • Applicants must be a member in good standing with the credit union to receive the grant.
  • Applicants must be employed in the Cumberland and Salem counties and teach students in grades K-12.
  • Grant requests should be for the specific items needed for the classroom project

Application Process

Application will be accepted until September 30th.   Applicants must complete the grant form below and give a short description on how their project idea will encourage classroom learning and help the local community. In addition, a list of necessary items for the classroom project must be provided to receive the grant.

Recipients will be notified by October 13th.  We reserve the right to use recipients’ names in announcements in the press, social media or any publications.
