2025 Teacher Mini Grants Available!

Members 1st of NJ FCU Returns with Mini Grant Program to Support More Local Teachers

VINELAND, NJ — In a heartfelt continuation of its commitment to education and community, Members 1st of NJ Federal Credit Union is excited to announce that its annual Teacher Mini Grant Program has returned. This year, 18 deserving educators will be selected to receive a $200 grant to fund innovative classroom projects that inspire learning — an increase from the usual 15 grants awarded.

This expansion was made possible thanks to a generous donation from Beverly Brown, a longtime supporter of both the credit union and local education.

Founded by a group of forward-thinking teachers, Members 1st of NJ has always held education close to its heart. These grants are one way the credit union continues to honor its roots and support the educators shaping the future of our communities.

“Teachers play a vital role in building strong communities,” said Eileen Crean, CEO of Members 1st of NJ. “They work to ignite curiosity and creativity in their students, often with limited resources. We believe in supporting those efforts however we can.”

The Teacher Mini Grant Program provides funding for classroom projects that go beyond the basics — from science experiments and reading initiatives to art installations and interactive learning activities. The credit union has already awarded more than $15,000 to past applicants whose ideas brought energy and innovation into local classrooms.

Applications are now open to current Members 1st of NJ FCU members who are educators. Interested teachers can submit their project ideas online at www.MembersOneNJ.org. Applicants must be members of the credit union at the time of applying.

“We look forward to reviewing this year’s applications and helping more teachers bring their ideas to life,” Eileen Crean added. “When we invest in our educators, we invest in our future.”
