Members 1st of NJ Hosts Reality Fair to Empower Students with Real-World Financial Skills
Members 1st of NJ Federal Credit Union is proud to announce it’s recent Reality Fair, an interactive financial literacy event designed to give students hands-on experience managing real-life expenses and making smart financial decisions.
The Reality Fair provided participants with a unique opportunity to step into the role of an adult, making budgeting choices related to housing, transportation, groceries, and more. With guidance from credit union staff and community volunteers, students learned how everyday financial decisions impact their overall financial well-being.
“When we host Reality Fairs, it isn’t just about doing the math and figuring out numbers—it’s about the moment students realize every choice has a cost, and every decision takes real thought if they want to reach their financial goals. That realization is the goal of our fairs,” said Marya Mazzeo, Marketing Manager.
