What You Need to Know
Key Transition Dates
July 31, 2025: You will continue to have access to Thunderbolt Area FCU’s online banking system and mobile app until 11:59 PM.
August 3, 2025: New credit cards from Members 1st will be ready for use. Be sure to activate your card and update recurring payments with your new card details.
August 4, 2025: Members 1st Online and Mobile Banking platforms will officially launch for all members. Don’t forget to re-enroll for access.

FAQs
1. Will my account numbers change?
No, your Thunderbolt Area FCU account numbers will remain the same. However, you’ll need to update your routing number to 231278096 by August 2nd for direct deposits and automatic payments.
2. When will I receive my new debit card?
Your current debit card will remain active until its expiration date. We’ll mail your new Members 1st debit card well in advance, and it will come with instructions for activation and PIN setup.
3. Will I need new checks?
Your existing Thunderbolt checks will still work. If you’d like, you can reorder checks with the Members 1st name and updated routing number.
4. What happens to my automatic payments and direct deposits?
You’ll need to update the payment details with your new debit card or routing number after the merger. This ensures payments and deposits are processed without interruptions.
5. Do I need to re-enroll in online banking?
Yes. Starting August 4, 2025, you’ll need to re-enroll in Members 1st Online Banking. Simply visit www.MembersOneNJ.org, click the “Online Banking” button, and follow the enrollment steps.

Secure Online and Mobile Banking

Select “Enroll in Online Banking.”

Enter your account number and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

Choose a login ID, password, and security questions.

Finish enrollment and sign up for eStatements to avoid paperwork.
How to Download the Mobile App
Scan the QR code provided in your enrollment materials, or search Members 1st of NJ FCU in your mobile app store. Once downloaded, log in using your online credentials for instant access to your accounts.
